HAIR LOVE has deep roots in the Bradley Beach community. Our master stylists Evelyn Shibla and Marlene Schulle opened ”Our Gang Haircutters" in 1985 at what is the present day location of Harvest Moon. 

After only being open a short time, the two feisty entrepreneurs set their sights on a permanent location. Working tirelessly in their small rented space, the goal of owning a building to grow “Our Gang” was just across the street.

When the opportunity to buy 121 Main Street finally came, Evelyn & Marlene jumped at the chance, enlisting the help of friends & family to literally walk the vintage barber chairs across the street to “Our Gang's” new home. They even brought over the 6-by-8-foot mirrors that lined the walls of the salon. (We at Hair Love cut down those original mirrors for each stylist's station today!)

Most importantly Evelyn & Marlene brought their warm & friendly personalities to their “new” location. This inviting spirit continued for 30 years and is what HAIR LOVE strives for everyday: to make every guest feel like a part of the “gang.”
